Earlier this week the President of LEAD’s Board of Directors, Kerry Thomas, drew out the 10 lucky winners of our Prize Draw. Congratulations to Xris, Vanessa, Susan, Sandra, Nicole, Natalie, Monique, Kate, Janis and Fiona. A separate email will be sent to each winner so we can get their book to them as soon as possible.
I would like to thank everyone for taking those few minutes to provide your feedback. The information you provided will be invaluable as we continue to focus on how we can provide the most relevant Professional Development activities that support the on-going transition to align with TEI framework. I really appreciate your contribution to our work. Last week I participated in the National Conference on Family Relations (NCFR) Conference in Texas, U.S., along with 1500 other participants. The National Council on Family Relations, founded in 1938, is the oldest (and largest) nonprofit, nonpartisan, multidisciplinary professional association focused solely on family research, practice, and education. It was an amazing experience; hearing first hand from researchers, academics and practitioners as they presented the very latest in evidence-informed strategies, services, programs and research designed to help us to better understand families and support those that are the most vulnerable.
LEAD is in the process of curating the events for the first half of 2020, and I am pleased to let you know that we will have some new facilitators and topics, along with those core competencies that we all need to keep current. Our Calendar of Events will be in your in box in mid-January, so keep your eyes out for it.
To our lucky winners: happy reading!
