Information for Prospective Facilitators
LEAD PDA is a non-government, not for profit association supporting the Professional Development and Learning of people working with families in Western Sydney. LEAD provides a wide range of dynamic, affordable Professional Development and Training opportunities. Topics and issues covered relate to the work of individuals and organisations working with families. LEAD prides itself on delivering quality practice based, evidence based and outcome focused learning opportunities related to working with children and families.
Learning opportunities are offered to those working directly with families and the service systems working with children, families, communities. Members of our association enjoy access to ‘member rates’ pricing to attend all of our events, access to specially developed resources, priority registration to our more popular events and admission to members only events.
LEAD has established an eligibility list of Facilitators & Trainers who would like to be considered for current and/or future work with our organisation. LEAD will draw Facilitators and Trainers from this list when developing our Even calendar and/or when new training slots become available.
When considering Facilitators and Trainers for new events, one of the LEAD team will contact potential candidates to discuss and agree on the specific requirements before progressing to formal engagement. Note that all Facilitators and Trainers are engaged as contractors. LEAD does not employ any Facilitators and Trainers directly.
Facilitators and Trainers with relevant skills and experience are invited to nominate their interest to be considered for inclusion on the eligibility list via the following process:
- Facilitators/Trainers nominate their interest to be on the LEAD Trainer Eligibility List via an email to the CEO Kerry Palejs;
- New nominees are invited to complete a Facilitator/Trainer Eligibility List Application Form, and supply a copy of their CV, including details of facilitation/training experience, along with two (2) related referees;
- If the nominee is considered to have the skills and experience relevant to LEAD’s role and needs, they will be invited to review and respond to LEAD’s Facilitator and Trainer Orientation Session;
- Successful completion of LEAD’s Facilitator and Trainer’s Orientation Session and subsequent one to one interview will secure a place on our eligibility list.
