Vaping: ‘I didn’t know that’ – Part A
LEAD PDA, NSW Western Sydney Health, and Hawkesbury Council invite you to join us for an upcoming interactive workshop on vaping and its effects on young people. This is the first of a two-part workshop.
This 2-hour in-person workshop targets youth workers and community workers that engage with youth – learning in this session is around longer term health effects, changes to laws.
As part of the workshop, Health expert will be facilitating a live Q&A to help debunk myths and understand longer term impacts.
This session will cover:
- What can be found in vapes/e-cigarettes
- Health effects of vaping or e-cigarettes
- Marketing strategies
- Is it legal to sell vapes/e-cigarettes with nicotine in NSW?
- Why do young people vape and how we can help them?
Facilitator
Western Sydney Local Health District has been leading the delivery of positive health choices and will deliver this workshop. They have worked with diverse community groups in health promotion and prevention and has developed, evaluated and managed research projects in immunisation, asthma, healthy lifestyle, prevention of obesity, smoking prevention and Aboriginal health.
