Make your Leadership Matter: The Journey from Managing to Leading

Are you striving to lead with authenticity and foster growth in your team/s?

Join us in this workshop, based on critical reflexive practice and facilitated by Mary Jo McVeigh, to engage in group discussion and private reflection on topics like authenticity, social-political contexts, ethics, and professionalism. This will enable you as a leader to link your pursuit of personal goals and well-being to your capability to lead others through times of transition, stress, and uncertainty.

You will take away from this one-day in-person workshop tools and strategies to lead with authenticity and foster growth within your team/s.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Examine your style of meaningful, authentic leadership;
  • Examine and deepen your ethical/emotional wisdom and skills;
  • Learn skills to harness emotional intelligence to inspire staff;
  • Utilise values-based language to promote effective communication;
  • Use Mindful Curious Inquiry (MCI) to increase your communication skills, and
  • Turn challenging conversations into opportunities for growth.

Acknowledgement

LEAD acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land we gather and work on, and the land that you are on while visiting our website. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the cultures and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the nation. A better understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures develops an enriched appreciation for Australia’s cultural heritage and can lead to reconciliation. This is essential to the maturity of Australia as a nation and fundamental to the development of an Australian identity. Understanding and respect are guiding principles of LEAD’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
