Are you striving to lead with authenticity and foster growth in your team/s?
Join us in this workshop, based on critical reflexive practice and facilitated by Mary Jo McVeigh, to engage in group discussion and private reflection on topics like authenticity, social-political contexts, ethics, and professionalism. This will enable you as a leader to link your pursuit of personal goals and well-being to your capability to lead others through times of transition, stress, and uncertainty.
You will take away from this one-day in-person workshop tools and strategies to lead with authenticity and foster growth within your team/s.

- Examine your style of meaningful, authentic leadership;
- Examine and deepen your ethical/emotional wisdom and skills;
- Learn skills to harness emotional intelligence to inspire staff;
- Utilise values-based language to promote effective communication;
- Use Mindful Curious Inquiry (MCI) to increase your communication skills, and
- Turn challenging conversations into opportunities for growth.

All Community Practitioners who wish to develop their skills in the provision of supervision of staff.
Facilitator
Mary Jo McVeigh is acknowledged in her field as an expert in child protection and trauma therapy. Mary Jo is a trained trauma therapist and an accredited mental health social worker, currently completing her PHD in social work particularly looking at childhood trauma as a human rights issue. Mary Jo has received many awards in recognition of her work. Most recently, Mary Jo was awarded the Canada Bay City Council Citizen of the Year (2020) and the Order of Australia medal (2021) for her service to the community through social welfare and AASW Social Worker of the year (2022).
