Evidence Based Practice: An introduction for Workers in TEI funded Services©

Evidence-based practice is the intentional use of the best available current evidence to guide policy and service delivery systems and practice. It is a key requirement for services delivered under the TEI Program.

This eLearning course has been specifically developed to provide an introduction to Evidence-Based Practice and its application to service delivery and programming.

Course Objectives/Learning Outcomes

This self-paced eLearning Course will:

• Increase understanding of how Evidence-Based Practice can help clients achieve their outcomes;
• Define the difference between Evidence-Based Practice and Evidence-Based Programs;
• Understand how to evaluate the ‘quality’ of evidence; and
• Start developing your own database of reputable evidence sources.

Target Audience 

This eLearning course is for Community sector professionals including managers, team leaders, individual and peers support workers, caseworkers, counsellors, social workers, community development workers and other practitioners who directly support vulnerable children, individuals, families, and communities.
