Cultivating an “Outcomes Focused” Workplace Culture: Key Concepts for Beginners

An outcomes focus does not start by asking “What can we do?” or “how much money do we have?” or even “Where is it needed? Instead we ask:  “What do we want to achieve?”. This is the underpinning force that drives an outcomes approach.

 So, you have got your contract signed and sealed, DEX is set up, your Program Logic developed, all ready to go– but—are your staff ready to embrace these changes, or are they just along for the ride? You CAN cultivate the desired workplace culture that will support the transition to being an ‘outcomes-focused’ organisation. This short Online Workshop will cover off the key concepts and provide some practical strategies that will help your team to grow and flourish in the TEI space.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the importance of the language of outcomes;
  • Develop an outcomes statement for your organisation;
  • Understand the importance of workplace culture, especially with regards to implementing change: and
  • Develop an action plan to use in the workplace to support the cultivation of an ‘outcomes-focused’ workplace culture.

Acknowledgement

LEAD acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land we gather and work on, and the land that you are on while visiting our website. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the cultures and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the nation. A better understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures develops an enriched appreciation for Australia’s cultural heritage and can lead to reconciliation. This is essential to the maturity of Australia as a nation and fundamental to the development of an Australian identity. Understanding and respect are guiding principles of LEAD’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
