Almost all unified groups of professionals, such as teachers, nurses, and therapists are bound by a shared set of principles and standards. As a unified group of Community Sector professionals supporting children, young people, families, and communities, we need a comparable set of principles, policies, standards and procedures to align our work.

LEAD has initiated a Community of Practice to build the practice capacity of Community Sector service providers by resourcing and supporting organisations to develop, implement and review policies, standards, processes and procedures. The aim is to strengthen the governance framework, accountability and practice of service providers. This is critical in an operating environment where governance, regulatory requirements and contractual obligations are ever-changing.

The first series of Community of Practice workshops have taken place and participants have provided immense amounts of positive feedback, as seen below.
