3Rs: Reveal, Recover and Restore
Session 1 (Morning): Impact of Vicarious Trauma
During this immersive three-hour workshop, we will delve into the multifaceted ways that community sector practitioners are impacted by the work that they do. This in-person workshop will aim to equip you with tools to mitigate adverse effects and amplify positive outcomes.
Session 2 (Afternoon): What is your activation?
Join us in a contemplative space to explore the rhythms of your day. This three-hour workshop will uncover how daily activities activate or deplete the mind-body system. You will also be supported to reflect on how to use behavioural distractions (such as work!) to move away from uncomfortable activation experiences and create meaning in your life. You will then be led through embodied recovery practices to reduce the stress activation responses and instead tap into the relaxation-repair response where you are more regulated and responsive to daily pressures.
