Hello and welcome to our PD for Teachers page! While we have only recently been endorsed to provide NESA Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient Level Teacher, we have been around for more than thirty years, providing Professional Development for Family Support Practitioners.
We are incorporated as an Association, but our courses, workshops, seminars and events are usually open to non-members as well as our members. Members of our Association have access to special member-prices for most events, priority access, early notification of our events, free members resources and an invitation to our “Member Only” events.
If you are a School Principal and would like to know more about the benefits of becoming a member, call now on 9620 6172, or email us via firstname.lastname@example.org
We have a unique business model that is highly regarded and ensures we facilitate high quality Professional Development events. We proactively seek feedback from our potential customers to determine what the Professional Development needs are and then we source subject latter experts to deliver these courses.
Most of our events are one-day workshop style sessions and are delivered primarily from our Learning Centre in Seven Hills (adjacent to the Seven Hills Rail/Bus interchange). Our trainers are usually registered clinicians, psychologists, therapists, educators, psychologists and researchers. Most have their own private practice that enables them to draw on real-life experiences and case studies. We pride ourselves on the integrity of our content being evidence-based or evidence-informed where possible.
We stay up to date on the latest research and emerging knowledge both in Australia and internationally.
We acknowledge that the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers are a public statement of what constitutes teacher quality. The Standards contribute to the “professionalisation of teaching and raise the status of the profession” (NSW Education Standards Authority, 2018).
LEAD PDA looks forward to supporting high-quality teaching and school leadership through our range of endorsed courses.
