CEO Blog: National Council on Family Relations Annual Conference, Florida USA

In 2017 I had the opportunity to participate in the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) Annual Conference held in Florida, USA. I joined 1,300 delegates exploring the very latest research and program evaluation covered by over two hundred workshops and presentations.

LEAD Professional Development is a member of NCFR, and through the three Journals published each month, as well as participation in on-line forums with practitioners, researchers and academics, is able to maintain our currency in new and emerging evidence-based frameworks, models and techniques.

I have now been asked to join NCFR’s Peer Review Panel to review and assess suitability for potential presentations for the 2018 Conference, to be held in San Diego. This will be the association’s 80th Annual Conference.

The twelve proposals I am reviewing include “Mapping Pedagogy, Content and Effect Size in Parent Education”, “Parenting Program Evaluations: A Review of the Evidence and 6 Recommendations” and “Increasing Critical Thinking and Practical Skills through Problem Based Learning Simulations”.

I am pleased to have this opportunity to contribute to this internationally renowned event.
