Trauma Informed Practice- A LEAD “Essentials” Event

This introductory workshop explores what it means for Case Management practices for staff who work directly with traumatised children, young people or clients who have a childhood trauma history.
- Increased knowledge of complex trauma and how to identify it in practice;
- Increased understanding of the development of trauma symptoms, and
- Increased ability to develop appropriate interpersonal and case management strategies to address the needs of traumatised people.
This specially priced event is part of LEAD’s “Essential” series; a range of sector development workshops that build capacity and capability for workers supporting children and families to achieve their outcomes.
Angharad is a registered psychologist with over 25 years’ experience working with families. She is the Manager of Catholic Care’s Parent Education Program. Angharad has facilitated parenting groups for most of her career and in addition she trains, supervises and mentors group facilitators. She has been the lead author of two externally evaluated programs; “My Kids and Me” for parents whose children have been removed into Statutory Care and “Keeping Kids in Mind” for parents who are separated or divorced and are engaged in chronic conflict. It goes without saying that Angharad loves the work she does and is passionately committed to helping those working with parents and children be the best that they can be.
