Discover the theory and processes involved in art therapy and art as therapy in this introductory workshop. Learn about different approaches that can be used with individuals families and groups.

This workshop will incorporate experiential activities using different techniques and arts media to enable hands-on experience.

Best practice, evidence based workshop. You do not have to be an artist to attend, this workshop is for anyone who would like to learn about the benefits and therapeutic use of art and craft.

Aunty Bev Eaton

Aunty Beverley is an Indigenous woman whose people come from Coonabarabran.  She has over 16 years experience in the community sector working in a mainstream service with a great commitment to the Aboriginal community.  Beverley is Chairperson of the Blue Mountains Aboriginal Culture and Resource Centre at Katoomba.  Beverley has traveled around NSW running training sessions for community sector workers in relation to working with Aboriginal people. As part of her consultant role, Bev also provides supervision and support services to Aboriginal workers in a range of different service settings

Sue Wildman

Sue Wildman has worked in the community sector for over 25 years. She is a registered Counsellor and Art Therapist.  She has worked primarily with women who have experienced trauma and has written and delivered programs for Blue Mountains Women’s Health & Resource Centre, Penrith Women’s Health Centre, Bolwarra Transitional Centre, R.A., Enrich Family Services, Dianella Cottage & the Aboriginal Catholic Care Social Services. She also works with carers and is a registered NCCP Provider.



Members: $93.50; Non-Members: $154.00. Morning tea and lunch provided. Please advise of special dietary needs, or other needs when you register online.
