In the mid-1990s Kaiser Permanente and the Centre for Disease Control in America undertook an enormous piece of research which linked Adverse Childhood Experiences with future health outcomes. This half-day online workshop will discuss the research, look at the impact of ACEs, learn how we can become more ACEs sensitive and respond to children’s behaviour in a trauma-informed way. This workshop drawers upon the work of Bessel Va Der Kolk, Bruce Perry and Dan Siegel.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Increased Knowledge of ACEs and their long term health impact
  • Increased knowledge of the neuroscience of trauma
  • Increased capacity to help support clients who have experienced ACEs and trauma
