The forum covered changes to child protection legislation and practice under the ‘Safe Home for Life’ reforms and the broad implications for families and the service system. The day offered keynote speakers on the reform, shared discussion and presentations on the key messages.

‘Take Home Messages’ panel included Louisa McKay FamS, Wendy Foote Deputy CEO ACWA, Megan Neal FACs, Gabrielle Cantrell Legal Aid, Louis Masters Catholic Care, Julie Hourigan-Ruce CEO FamS.

The second day was a smaller intimate group which drilled down into ‘Impacts and Practice Implications for Aboriginal Families and Community’ and featured Guest Speaker Chery Orr, Cheryl has been nominated Indigenous Lawyer of the year 2014.
