To celebrate NAIDOC week this year, LEAD is offering a special workshop ‘Get on Board!’, free for Aboriginal workers of Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) funded services who are keen to contribute to their community in a leadership role. This two-part online workshop is co-designed and co-facilitated by Ken Zulumovski (Hon DHSc) and Kerry Palejs (Masters Business Leadership). Ken is a descendant of the Kubi Kubi nation and winner of the 2019 honorary award of ‘Doctor of Health Sciences’, by The University of Sydney for his outstanding contribution to Australian society.
Are you an Aboriginal worker considering to become a Board Member? Do you want to contribute to your community in a leadership role, but are not sure Board Members really do?
This online workshop is for you. ‘Get on Board’ is designed to give you a good understanding of the role and responsibilities of becoming a Board Member from a culturally appropriate perspective. Being on the Board of Directors of an organisation helps to ensure that your mob is represented and heard at the decision-making level. This online workshop will help you take that important first step into being a Board Member.
