Earlier today the World Health Organisation officially declared the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic. This will contribute to the level of concern you may have about attending any upcoming meetings and Professional Development events. We understand and appreciate the effect that this situation is having on many of our members and participants, and the level of concern you may have about attending meetings and Professional Development events.
As an organisation LEAD is constantly monitoring the evolving situation in relation to the impact of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). We have been developing our response plan, drawing directly on current advice and information provided by WHO and the Federal and State Government authorities. Our team has participated in a training session and Risk Management analysis, and are now implementing some new strategies that align with the recommendations made by these Health Authorities.
LEAD will continue to deliver all scheduled workshops, training events and meetings that have been scheduled.
We will, of course, commit to implementing all recommended precautions from the World Health Organisation, Federal and State Health authorities and will encourage all attendees to follow these guidelines. We will be uploading further information and links to appropriate Health Authorities onto our website and update these as soon as any new advice becomes available.
