The ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž project initiated by LEAD and MECA in the Blacktown LGA is a year-long educational program aimed at fostering connections between community leaders, religious leaders, and community members in the area. The project’s objective is to equip these leaders with essential skills and knowledge to provide better support to their community members.
Throughout the program, workshops will be conducted to train leaders in various areas including accidental counselling, child protection, family well-being, problem-solving, and managing loss and grief. These workshops will provide leaders with the tools and expertise needed to address and assist community members facing various challenges.
At the culmination of the program, a ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž Committee will be formed. It will facilitate the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and resources to continue supporting the well-being and resilience of the community.
By establishing strong connections between leaders and community members and empowering leaders with relevant skills, the Pillars of Resilience project aims to enhance community support systems and foster resilience within the Blacktown LGA.
